Job Description:
The P/T Peer Tutor will provide academic assistance to students. Academic interventions can include individual tutoring, group tutoring, homework assistance and exam reviews. Subjects include, but are not limited to, reading, study skills, ESL, psychology, computer science, science, writing, physics, economics, and mathematics. Other related work as required includes supporting front desk activities, answering phones, making copies and disseminating information.
Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Current matriculation at Westchester Community College or at any other two or four-year institution recognized or accredited as a post-secondary, degree-granting institution is required; as well as successful completion of college level coursework in the subject matter with a minimum grade of 85% (B+).
Additional Information:
WORK SCHEDULE: The work schedule varies; daytime, evening and Saturday hours might be available.
HOURLY RATE OF PAY: $15.75 per hour. No benefits.
