The American Diabetes Association seeking a Coordinator in our Health Equity department. The Project Coordinator is responsible for providing day-to-day assistance in support of multiple projects for the organization. The Project Coordinator reports directly to the Senior Vice President, Health Equity, preparing plans and distributing project reports detailing the status of projects or programs, scheduling meetings and events, coordinating volunteer/stakeholder schedules, communications, training, and other duties as assigned based on project needs. This role is also responsible for reconciling the operational budget, processing expenses, record-keeping, and submitting invoices. This is a temporary 12 month position working part time (up to 19 hrs/week).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides exceptional customer service to coworkers, volunteers, and vendors by promptly responding to requests and adhering to deadlines as appropriate.
- Coordinates and monitors project timelines; effectively communicating project needs, deadlines, and related information as required.
- Organizes and manages assigned tasks.
- Coordinates internal stakeholders, volunteers, and vendors for meetings and events.
- Assists with marketing efforts which may include updating on-line content, distributing marketing materials, and preparing and disseminating stakeholder, vendor, contractor, and/or volunteer communications.
- Maintains accurate data for compliance requirements and internal reporting needs.
- Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure documentation is complete and accurate.
- Prepares project status reports and presentations.
- Tracks and monitors project budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, which may include healthcare, business and/or social service
- One to three years of related work experience
- Event planning and marketing experience
- Knowledge of project and portfolio management software is desired (MS Teams, MS Project, SharePoint, and Visio)
- Strong planning and organization skills
- Proactively anticipates needs of team members and key stakeholders • Strong sense of urgency in responding to requests
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Uses skills to improve project management processes to meet project deadlines
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
Compensation Range: $25.00 - $30.00/hr DOE
