Central Washington University is recruiting a Full-Time Lecturer in Accounting to join our College of Business team in Ellensburg, Washington. The Role:
Central Washington University (CWU), Department of Accounting invites applicants for a full-time, nine-month, non-tenure-track (NTT) Accounting position at the rank of Lecturer in Accounting beginning in September 2024. Preference will be given to those applicants with an interest or experience in teaching Financial Accounting, although candidates with teaching interests in all areas of accounting will be considered.
The Department of Accounting offers an attractive teaching load with small classes and a close-knit teaching environment. The Department hosts the second largest undergraduate accounting program in the State of Washington using live classroom, blended, televised and online formats. CWU offers the undergraduate accounting major and minor, as well as the Master's in Professional Accountancy. CWU's College of Business is accredited by AACSB-International.
- This is a one year appointment with the possibility that the candidate could apply for a permanent position. This is not a guarantee and would be based upon availability and budgetary approval.
Minimum Qualifications

- Master's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Professional experience in the field
Preferred Qualifications (Please address in your cover letter):
- Ph.D. in accounting or related field. Strong candidates who are ABD and nearing completion of the dissertation will be considered.
- Professional certification (CPA, CMA, etc.)
- Established or potential record for research in peer-reviewed journals.
- University-level teaching experience both face to face and online courses.
- Teaching, research, and/or service that demonstrates an ability to contribute to CWU`s commitment to inclusion and diversity.

Pay & Work Schedule
Annual Salary: $90,000 - $100,000, based on a full-time nine-month appointment.
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
Appointment: Temporary, Non-Tenure-Track, 9 Month Appointment. Central Washington University is on the quarter system with appointments from mid-September through mid-June.
