About The Position
 

The Geneva Foundation is seeking a Human Resources Manager to assist the Director of People Operations with developing and maintaining activities related to all phases of the employee life cycle. In this role, the HR Manager will be responsible for executing the strategic initiatives of the business unit along with supporting our locations across the United States.

This is a fully remote position, with the requirement to travel at least 10%.
 

Salary Range
 

$90,000 - $105,000. Salaries are determined based on several factors including external market data, internal equity, and the candidate’s related knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
Responsibilities:
Management Responsibilities:
  • Present and recommend to management new or to improve existing human resources policies, standard practices and procedures
  • Advise management appropriate resolutions to employee relations issues
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall organizational strategy
  • Research, investigate and accurately diagnose organization issues by collecting/reviewing data and interviewing employees
  • Collaborate with programmatic teams to manage employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
  • Administer classification programs, which includes classifying and reclassifying positions, and writing job descriptions
  • Monitor unemployment claims and participate in the appeal process
  • Monitor performance appraisal program
  • Monitor workers’ compensation claims and coordinate work with injured employee
  • Participate in new employee orientation and exit interviews
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation
  • Build positive and productive working relationships with managers, employees, and colleagues
  • Coach and instruct hiring managers and supervisors with staffing related questions, processes, and compliance
Responsibilities:
 

The HR Manager partners closely with the Director of People Operations and other leaders to develop and implement human capital initiatives that contribute significantly to the most critical organizational results. The primary areas of human capital focus on compliance, talent management, organizational effectiveness, employee retention (driving down the attrition), employee outreach & engagement, workforce planning and forecasting, development of employees that increases the
capability of our workforce, and internal talent mobility. The position will support the planning, design, development, and evaluation of human resource-related initiatives that support organizational strategic goals including:

 
  • Compensation and Benefits – support the compensation and benefits analysis process
  • Regulatory Compliance – ensure activities are compliant with all state and federal employment laws and regulations
  • Learning and Development – manage and provide key stakeholder support through individual growth and training
  • Systems – administration of HCM (Workday)
  • Talent Acquisition & Retention – support the acquisition and retention of the best talent in the industry. Provide guidance on recruitment activities, new hire orientation, succession planning, salary planning, training and development, EEO, employee benefits, health and safety programs to ensure positive employee relations in keeping with organizational objectives
  • Performance Management – support the execution of annual objectives, performance review processes, and identifying & addressing performance issues
  • Coaching – lead skills’-based trainings and other organizational trainings, as needed. Assist staff in identifying performance goals. Coach staff and managers on the performance management process. Serve as a trusted resource and advisor
  • In-Processing and Credentialing - manage and facilitate the security clearance process regarding in-processing and credentialing at assigned military treatment facilities (MTFs) and federal laboratories
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required. Master's degree preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills are required
  • Works with the highest levels of accountability, integrity, and ethics
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources or related role
  • Experience working in government contracting industry
  • Must be organized, attentive to detail, and possess a positive, optimistic, respectful, and professional demeanor
  • Understanding and wide application of technical HR principles, theories and concepts, as well
    as HR best practices
  • Foundational knowledge of DEIB, Benefits and Compensation, Learning and Development, HR Systems and Operations, and HR Analytics to help drive decisions
  • Experience coaching managers on effectively/proactively addressing employee relations issues (e.g. performance management, progressive discipline, etc.)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build credible relationships across the organization and act as a trusted advisor to internal customers
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead projects through full life cycle (design, develop, implement) and deliver impactful results
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Ability to be flexible with changing priorities and available to interact with employees, clients and sponsors of all levels
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in fast-paced, high-pressured environment with strict
    deadlines and to manage multiple projects
  • Possess experience in Employee Relations, Leave Management, Workers Compensation, Retirement Plan Administration
