JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Dir, HR – Total Rewards & Compliance, the Manager of Benefits will be a focused, dedicated HR professional and results-oriented leader who supports Rady Children's goal of offering a competitive benefits package that will help attract and retain talent. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, voluntary benefits, retirement plans, and leave of absence administration, and will possess the ability to lead a team and build partnerships across the organization to support benefits initiatives. The Manager of Benefits will also work with Senior Leadership to develop and implement both short and long-term strategic benefits initiatives that aim to support both organizational objectives and employee needs.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3 Years of Experience
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate and build strategic partnerships with team(s) across the organization.
    Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    3+ years of managing a comprehensive benefit program, including a team of direct reports, at a large organization.
  • Thorough working knowledge of Federal and California State laws and regulations, specifically in the area(s) of health & welfare plans, retirement plans, and leaves of absence.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of a wide variety of benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life/disability, voluntary benefits, retirement plan(s), and federal and state leaves of absence.

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's Degree
  • Proven ability to motivate and direct staff to achieve organizational results and outcomes.

 

The expected hiring range for this position is $50.43 to $69.35
