Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

The Work Management Planner position is responsible for the planning and scheduling of key facilities functions including preventive maintenance, major projects, safety inspection and testing, and occupancy. The Planner will take a leadership role in the successful scheduling and coordination of multiple maintenance, projects, and occupancy of approximately 10,000 bed spaces in residence halls and chapter houses, requiring communication and coordination with key Department and campus partners. The Planner is a member of the Work Management Unit and is supervised by the Assistant Director of Work Management

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
  • A bachelor’s degree.

Experience:
  • Five (5) years of professional experience in planning, scheduling, project management, asset management, and/or preventive maintenance program management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong working experience with Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, PowerPoint) and/or Google Suite.
  • Strong problem solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively with others.

Preferences:

Preferences:
  • Experience in facilities management organizations, property management, or Residential Housing Programs.
  • Experience with Assetworks or other Integrated Work Management Systems and Asset Management Systems.
  • Experience in data analysis and data analytics.

Additional Certifications:

  • Valid Driver’s license with less than 6 points required.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.

Additional Information:

Salary Range: $71,665-$89,582.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
  • This position requires an on-site presence. May be able to work remotely one day per week.
  • As an exempt employee, the incumbent will be expected to work the hours needed to manage the duties of their position. Some evening and weekend work may be required.
  • This position is an essential employee related to catastrophic, weather, or other emergencies and may be required to come to campus/work remotely when the University is closed.

Physical Demands

  • Regular office environment with the occasional need to operate a department vehicle to pick up and/or deliver printed materials or other documents and supplies on-campus and locally.
  • Normal office environment to include keyboarding, drafting correspondence, planning/documentation, and notes. Lifting boxes/packages weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • May be asked to assist with and/or support department-wide activities in the residence halls and other campus buildings which may require walking in and between buildings and climbing stairs.
