Position Summary:

We're seeking innovative Software Engineers who seek to develop software for the company's products. The candidate will collaborate in the analysis, design, development, and test of the software application controlling state-of-the-art Invitro Diagnostic Medical devices for use at the point of care.

The ideal candidate will have experience developing applications utilzing C++ programming language, and Postgres database operating within a Linux and Real Time Operating Systems (O/S).

Additionally, the candidate will have experience integrating modules and libraries developed in these programming languages and operating systems. The candidate will work within an Agile Scrum development environment and use sound software engineering, object oriented, and functional programming principles to ensure that developed code has high quality, and is maintainable

The annual base salary range for this role is $110,000 to $140,000. Final compensation will ultimately depend on factors including education, relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, and business needs.

Key Accountabilities

• Develops high quality software primarily in C++.
• Creates associated software deliverables such as requirements and design documentation, soft-ware code, and unit and integration test plans and procedures.
• Performs Unit and Integration testing activities, debugging/troubleshooting, and provides sup-port to testing through design verification and validation.
• Participates in architecture, design reviews, risk analysis, code reviews, and reliability assess-ments.
• Complies with company quality processes and produces objective evidence per FDA and IVDR guidelines.
• Completes work on time with minimal supervision to meet common team goals.
• Participates in interviews for new department personnel.
• Supports process improvement activities.
• Implements integration test automation in Python as needed.
• Develops software tools as needed.
• Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation.

Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:

• BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar de-gree required.
• 5+ yrs years software development experience developing software for embedded systems

Skills & Capabilities:

• Experience in designing and implementing high-quality software for devices.
• Experience in prototyping new software components. Rapidly iterate to prove concepts and de-signs.
• Experience working in a regulated software environment is desired (medical device is a plus)
• Skilled in C++
• Solid understanding of design methods (e.g. OOD, UML) and full software product life cycles using agile methodologies.
• Understanding of Software Architectural issues when designing systems.
• Ability to estimate work durations based on high-level requirements.
• Understanding of real-time concepts on embedded Linux or RTOS platforms, multi-threaded ap-plications, and inter-process communication
• Ability to develop software requirements based on product/system level requirements.
• Experience with software development tools such as Git, BitBucket, Jenkins, and JIRA
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Less than 10%
