Senior Supervisor, Procurement
Job Description
SENIOR SUPERVISOR, PROCUREMENT, Facilities-Finance and Administration, to handle the day-to-day operations of the Facilities’ stockroom. Will be responsible for a heavy volume of purchase orders for primarily standard and some non-standard supplies, equipment, and services at the best possible price and value under advantageous purchasing arrangements.
Job Requirements:REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree in accounting or business; at least five years of procurement/sourcing experience; experience managing stockroom inventory for a building maintenance and service organization; experience as a supervisor of buyer personnel who purchase standard and special items; experience with “Buy-to-Pay” purchasing; skill dealing with vendors and negotiating large scale purchases of goods and services for a large organization; discretion with confidential data; ability to strategically link long-range business goals to daily activities; excellent organizational, problem-solving, decision-making, customer service, interpersonal, and written and oral communication skills; accuracy in all accounting; knowledge of standards and processes in a specific operations or technical area acquired through experience or specialized technical training; knowledge of SAP and MIT Procurement policies and procedures; and self-motivation. Seek a proven team leader who is able to assist and influence others, motivate staff, coach and mentor, and foster collaboration and team work. PREFERRED: CPSM professional certification.
