IT & Software - Desktop Systems Spec 3
Job Description
Genesis10 is currently seeking a Desktop Systems Spec 3 with our client in their San Diego, CA location. This is a 6 month + contract position.Summary:
- Provide desktop support for work group with 100 computers.
Responsibilities:
- Provides day-to-day technical support to employees for network infrastructure internal desktop systems software and hardware.
- Installs, configures, and troubleshoots desktop systems, workstations, servers, and network issues in a heterogenous environment.
- Creates and implements maintenance procedures for shared workstation software and hardware (operating system, anti-virus, software update, etc).
- Maintain passwords, data integrity, and file system security for the desktop environment.
- Recommends hardware and software solutions, including new acquisitions and upgrades.
- May participate in the development of information technology and infrastructure projects.
- Provide feedback on processes and make recommendations on areas to improve.
Requirements:
- Comprehensive knowledge of computer systems and experience troubleshooting hardware and software.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Patient and friendly demeanor.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
Nice to Have:
- Experience working in a help desk or technical support role.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve a wide variety of technical issues.
- Ability to work independently.
Pay rate range: $25.00 - $30.00 hourly
