Responsibilities:

• Preparing manuscripts to submit for publication based on data sets in the lab. The focus of these manuscripts will be on different research topics of interest to international adoption and/or cultural/ethnic minority psychology. (40%)
• Develop new lines of research that build off past research conducted during graduate school or collaborate on new research projects with existing faculty, graduate students, and collaborators. (20%)
• Data management and analysis. Organizing, cleaning, and archiving, data; Conducting basic and advanced statistical analyses involving longitudinal data. (15%)
• Supervise undergraduate and graduate students on work related to above responsibilities, (15%)
• Community Outreach. Conduct presentations to local communities on research; develop new relationships with community organizations related to lab research activities; maintain the labs social media presence. (10%)

About the Department of Psychology

The Department of Psychology is one of the largest departments within the College of Liberal Arts, and is a highly ranked department nationally. Currently, the department has 50 core faculty, 70+ staff, 130 graduate students, and it supports the largest number of undergraduate majors of any academic program on the UMN Twin Cities campus. Additionally, the department has $50 million or more in active research funding at any given time (the majority from NIH), spread across 70 or more projects.
