Job Description

Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner or Physician in the Women's Pelvic Medicine clinic, performs a wide variety of patient care activities in support of treating women's pelvic floor conditions, including urinary incontinence, vaginal prolapse and urinary tract infections. This includes prioritizing and assisting in patient triage processing, preparation and assistance with patient examinations, administering medications, collecting and preparing laboratory tests, and patient education. Position requires initiative, able to prioritize critical demands and the ability to work in a team environment.
The LVN will be primarily responsible for performing procedures, cystoscopies, PTNS, catheter changes, and any other patient centered activities within the scope of practice for a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSLicensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license issued by the State of California.
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in an outpatient Women's Health clinic.
Knowledge of universal precautions and proper use of body mechanics.
Ability to take initiative, prioritize critical demands and work in a team environment.
- Urology experience.
- Experience with diagnostic and treatment procedures.
- Experience maintaining sterilization of equipment.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
- Per diem shift requirement is an average of 1 shift per week per 4-week schedule. Must be available 1 weekend shift per 4-week schedule and a minimum of 1 holiday. This is subject to change based on individual department needs.
Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $82,601 - $82,601 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $39.56 - $39.56
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
