Class Description
The purpose of this class is to assist with the operations of the Writing and Literacy Center and to ensure that visitors are greeted, directed appropriately, and that all are aware of relevant policies.
Minimum Requirements
High School diploma /GED, prior clerical and one year experience working in a customer service-focused position, preferably in an office environment.
Class Specific Essential Duties
- Scheduling student appointments and maintaining the appointment schedule
- Greeting and directing visitors of the Writing and Literacy Center.
- Answering phone calls (answering or referring inquires and transferring calls as necessary).
- Assisting students and faculty with basic computer related issues.
- Contacting students in case of class cancellations.
- Distributing interoffice mail.
