Production Maintenance Technician needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh Scientific's client located in San Diego, CA.
This position will be for a major biotech company and is suitable for someone with experience with optical/mechanical/electrical and fluidic systems.
Shift: Monday - Friday, 6 am to 2:30 pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on optical, mechanical, electrical and fluidics.
- Use mechanical, optical and fluidics knowledge to troubleshoot manufacturing equipment issues, as they arise.
- Perform basic computer/software troubleshooting.
- Work in a team environment to improve equipment reliability and uptime.
- Work with engineers and assist them to execute controlled experiments to address equipment-related yield and quality issues and drives implementation of solutions in a production environment to meet production goals.
- On Day/night shift, provide maintenance and process support to a high-volume manufacturing organization
- Work is completed with minimal supervision and assignments may be completed without established procedures or instructions.
- Ability to execute complex assignment and provide in-depth technical knowledge to resolve problem and recommend solutions.
Qualifications
- Experience in high volume manufacturing environment preferred.
- Working experience in Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical / Medical Devices industries would be an advantage
- Candidate has experience with optical/mechanical/electrical and fluidic systems.
- Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) would be a plus.
