Data Analyst III, Data Office (#DR-0713)

Location: HITEC Center - San Diego, CA

Full-time position

General Job Description:

  • Ensure that data quality, data integrity, and data security align to support decision-making processes across the organization.
  • Monitor trends, illuminate patterns, and make predictions, ultimately shaping the future of healthcare delivered to patients by querying thousands of relational databases containing medical information, billing information, patient feedback, and more.
  • Serve as the bridge between raw data and actionable insights by working to optimize operational efficiency, to evaluate adherence to clinical quality guidelines, or to improve patient experiences.
  • Ensure that the organization's decisions are evidence-based and rooted in clear, data-driven logic.
  • Provide support for the decision-making processes of the organization through the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports of organization data.
  • Interview end users, make changes in production-level applications, and document processes with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • 40 hrs./wk.
  • Salary: $156,811 to $170,676/yr.
  • Address of employment: Family Health Centers of San Diego, Inc., HITEC Center located at 5160 Federal Blvd., San Diego, CA 92105. Employer offers optional hybrid work from home within commuting distance to the office.

Education/Certifications/Licenses/Registrations:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • 9 years of progressive experience querying databases and manipulating data using SQL Server.

Experience/Specialized Skills:

  • Work experience to include: (1) 9 years of experience creating reports using applications, including Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, and R. (2) Utilizing a web-based acquisition tool and ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) processes. (3) Accessing and navigating relational database architecture. (4) Applying statistical principles and methods to describe data.
  • Academic experience to include: (5) Completion of at least one of the following courses: information systems, computer science, relational databases, data management, or statistics.
  • Any and all experience may be gained concurrently.
