Your Role

The Digital Email team influences the overall digital marketing strategy, implements email campaigns and journeys, and upholds best practices and industry standards for the organization. The Marketing Operations Specialist, Senior will report to the Marketing Email Communications Manager. In this role you will influence our growing digital marketing channels and technology platforms. You will be responsible for implementing and reporting on marketing operations covering engagement, retention, and acquisition programs. You will influence the end-to-end operations of deploying email campaigns that are executed for an optimal member experience and achieves call-center, digital self-service, and digital adoption goals. You will develop the tools, processes, and frameworks to further best practices and deliver successful email and SMS marketing programs.

Your Work

In this role, you will:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of an email strategy of acquisition and retention email campaigns from start to finish
  • Support creative development of email templates and landing pages with internal copywriters, designers, and more
  • Perform A/B split testing
  • Build automated email campaigns with dynamic/conditional content
  • Utilize HTML and CSS to author and debug outbound emails ahead of each send
  • Ensure the timely, accurate deployment of email marketing campaigns
  • Ensure mobile-friendly, responsive email templates
  • Demonstrate an understanding of email marketing best practices
  • Utilize analytical and database tools
  • Work under tight deadlines

Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in related field such as marketing or business and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Requires at least 5 years of relevant experience in marketing, including knowledge of marketing principles, practices, and techniques
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms like Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Experience writing queries and scripts is a plus
  • Experience with Marketing Cloud Connect is a plus
  • Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud is a plus
  • Experience with SMS campaigns is a plus
  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry, health care experience is strongly desire
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization and ability to decipher stakeholders' needs
  • Ability to independently develop and implement marketing plans
  • Good analytical and quantitative skills with ability to use most features of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word strongly desired

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is: $ 87230.00 to $ 130900.00 for California.

Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
