Social Worker MSW/MSW SR - Comprehensive Eating Disorders Program; 0.5 FTE - M/Th 7:30-4pm and Tues 7:30-12pm

Job Summary

This posting is for a permanent, part time position within the Comprehensive Eating Disorders Program at Mott Children's Hospital. This is a shared program between the Department of Psychiatry and the Department of Pediatrics. The job duties include providing clinical care in the Partial Hospital and Intensive Outpatient programs (PHP/IOP) for adolescents and young adults struggling with eating disorders. The program utilizes an evidenced-based treatment model, family-based treatment (also known as the Maudsley Approach).

Underfill Statement

This position may be underfilled at a lower classification depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.  Advancement through the career ladder at the Expert or Clinical Scholar Level is required for placement in the MSW Senior Classification

This position is included in the bargaining unit represented by the United Michigan Medicine Allied Professionals (UMMAP), which represents bargaining unit members in all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment.

Under Michigan law, a criminal history check including fingerprinting is required as a condition of transfer or employment for this position.

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.  Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
