Public Health & EMS Readiness & Response Coordinator
CG Public Health is seeking an emergency preparedness professional to make a demonstrated difference in how public health & emergency medical services (EMS) in north central Iowa plan and prepare for regional and local disaster response. Your facilitation skills will be on display as you engage public health and EMS agencies to collaboratively prevent, prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergency situations. In this role, you will coordinate the collective work to fulfill grant deliverables, prepare progress reports, update resource documentation, provide technical assistance with agency workplans and budgets, monitor & track agency expenditures, and coordinate preparedness training and exercises. This grant-funded position will be working with both public health and EMS agencies in a twelve-county area to include: Butler, Cerro Gordo, Chickasaw, Floyd, Franklin, Hancock, Hardin, Kossuth, Mitchell, Winnebago, Worth and Wright.
The successful Readiness & Response Coordinator will have the ability to work independently with little to no direct supervision, assume a wide range of responsibilities, provide timely responses to deadlines, and relate well to co-workers and regional personnel. In addition, the individual in this role must possess excellent organizational and planning skills, good presentation & facilitation skills using current technology, the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and have operational knowledge of Microsoft suite.

Education and Experience:
Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in emergency services, healthcare management, natural sciences, or related field and two (2) year’s work experience in hospitals, public health, or emergency services;
OR
Graduate from an accredited college with a bachelor’s degree in public health, emergency management, or another appropriate field; with two (2) years of related experience preferred.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must reside in Iowa.
Valid driver's license & dependable personal vehicle.
Must comply with regulations set forth by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid services for COVID 19 vaccination.
