Work Schedule, Hours per week: Monday - Friday, 8:00a.m. - 5:00p.m., 40 hours per week

 

Pay Range: $53,322 - $110,357 and determined based on relevant years of work experience.

Benefits Category: Partial benefits

 

Position Summary: Teach the equivalent of 12-15 credit hours per semester in the Hospitality Management area, with an emphasis in food and beverage management and hotel and lodging classes. Perform other duties expected of full-time faculty including maintaining scheduled office hours; developing and implementing course and program assessment of student learning outcomes; developing and maintaining relationships with industry and academic partners; participating in college, division, and department meetings; serving on committees; recruiting students; and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of three years industry experience.
  • Demonstrated teaching experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational and planning skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Hospitality Management, or related field.
  • Supervisory responsibilities in a commercial kitchen.
  • Budget responsibility for a hospitality enterprise.
  • Operations experience, including P and L statements and human resource functions.
  • Postsecondary teaching experience.
  • Ability to teach between disciplines with an understanding of current trends in the hospitality workforce arena.
  • A sensitivity to, and understanding of, the diverse backgrounds of community college students.
