Job Description
This position will report to the Director of Enrollment Services at the Harrison County Campus. This position is located at Harrison County Campus, Bryant Center at Tradition, and the West Harrison Center. The incumbent is responsible for facilitating support services to prospective and currently-enrolled students with enrollment and retention resulting in graduation. The incumbent serves as a backup School Certifying Official for the College’s Military Services Processing Unit and works closely with the Director of Enrollment Services and the Director of Admissions Processing to provide support and services of record-keeping/registrar processes and procedures as well as the maintenance of student records. The incumbent provides support services to special population students, including individuals with disabilities according to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), individuals preparing for non-traditional training and employment, individuals from economically disadvantaged families (foster children, single parents), displaced homemakers, and individuals with other barriers to educational achievement including individuals with limited English proficiency.

Job Duties
1. Assist students with Enrollment Services processes, including Financial Aid, Admissions, and Registration.

2. Provide advisement services for students in matters related to their programs of study, including academic, health-related, and career/technical education.

3. Provide information services related to the college offerings, university transfer information, and career pathways.

4. Utilize the SCT Banner software and other appropriate software to support office procedures related to enrollment services.

5. Be fluent with the required forms for students identified as veterans, vocational rehabilitation, WIOA, etc.

6. Assist with the planning and coordinating of campus-wide student retention and recruitment efforts.

7. Assist with the coordination and facilitation of orientation programs.

8. Assist in coordinating visits to the MGCCC Campus/Center by college, university, and military recruiters.

9. Assist with preparing institutional reports, administration/evaluation of surveys, and other institutional effectiveness and research activities.

10. Coordinate enrollment services at a college-wide (district) level.

11. As appointed, serve as an active member of appropriate campus and college committees.

12. Serve in implementing the student Web Services and other technological programs currently utilized by the college and those planned for the future.

13. Continuously strive to achieve/maintain the college mission, values, and goals by making a positive difference.

14. Stay current concerning trends and policy changes related to higher education to include articulation agreements.

15. Assist with representing the college in high school and community events.

16. Assist students with computerized career assessment tools and interpret results when appropriate.

17. Obtain professional updates by attending conferences, seminars, and workshops.

18. Upgrade skill level and performance through employee development.

19. Be familiar with and abide by MGCCC Policies and Procedures Manual.

20. Be flexible in working after hours or on weekends, as needed.

21. Assist in graduation preparation and execution before and during the ceremony.

22. Evaluate transfer credit and post to academic history.

23. Evaluate and certify graduation applications.

24. Serve as a backup School Certifying Official.

25. Serve as a backup Assessment Center proctor.

26. Identify and assess special population students’ needs and provide necessary services.

27. Maintain current 506 Special Populations Personnel Licensure through the State Department of Education.

28. Coordinate all ADA requests and activities.

29. Collaborate with district personnel to ensure ADA services are being met.

30. Enter/maintain special population surveys into Banner.

31. Assist the Dean of Teaching and Learning in administering and coordinating CPAS.

32. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Enrollment Services.

Mandatory Qualifications
(M1) Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education with a major or minor in mathematics, English, elementary education, adult education, special education, or vocational education from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning.
(M2) Minimum of two (2) years of teaching and/or experience in areas such as educational advising, employment counseling, or Student Services.
(M3) Knowledge about the Americans with Disabilities Act.
(M4) Must complete an approved three-credit-hour course in History, Philosophy, or Principles of Vocational Education during the first year of employment.
(M5) Must be able to obtain SDE 506 endorsement.*
(M6) Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
(M7) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Desirable Qualifications
(D1) Master’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning.
(D2) Work experience in a college setting.
(D3) Experience with Ellucian Banner System or other administrative software.
