Minimum Hiring Annual Salary:
$52,612.00
 
Maximum Hiring Annual Salary:
$55,243.00
 
To attain the maximum annual salary, employee must meet all minimum qualifications plus:
  • 5 (five) years of additional applicable work experience and/or degrees higher than minimum qualification degree. Degrees higher than the minimum qualification degree can be used in combination with additional work experience.
  • A combination of related education, on-the-job work experience, certifications and/or licenses that results in a candidate successfully meeting the minimum qualifications of the position, may be considered.
 
The stated salary amounts are not guaranteed in the event employment ends with Aims during any fiscal year.

Job Description:

Reporting to the Welding Department Chair, the Program Coordinator II is responsible for supporting the Welding program with enrollment management, student program navigation, community outreach and marketing, and serving as the liaison with industry partners.
 
Purchasing:
  • Purchases program marketing and related materials as needed within pre-defined budgetary constraints.
 
Enrollment Management:
  • Process and program navigation for prospective students.
  • Program guidance for incoming students.
  • Scheduling for incoming students.
  • Waitlist management including first contact and processes/timelines.
  • Registration overrides and planning.
 
Student Success Management:
  • Program guidance for current students – schedule setting.
  • Assists with graduation applications for certificates and AAS degree.
  • Student navigation of internal processes.
  • Scholarships liaison (AWS, others as available).
  • Department contact for Concurrent Enrollment & Career Academy.
 
Community Outreach & Marketing:
  • Internal marketing – open houses, on-campus events (Fall In, career fairs, etc.).
  • External marketing and recruiting – on-site high school events, district job fairs, etc. (1-2 per week).
  • Management of department social media accounts and marketing initiatives (student, faculty, and staff spotlights).
 
Industry Partnership Liaison:
  • Scheduling industry partners for on-campus visits.
  • Scheduling and management of industry partners for on-campus hiring events.
  • Coordination of work-based learning opportunities.
  • Program metrics and placement.
  • Employment support for graduating students
  • Employment management for outside entities (partner with Career Services.
  • Alum contact for placement and employment metrics .
 
Other Duties as Assigned
 
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Business Administration, Public Relations, Construction Management, CAD, Welding Technology, Marketing, Communications, Education Advising, Automotive, Machining, or other related degree in a skilled trades pathway; plus,
  • Three (3) years of related experience in skilled trades, marketing or management roles, advising, education, or public relations or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
  • Perform in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrate good customer service skills.
  • Prioritize multiple inquiries from industry partners, partnering high schools, and students.
  • Determine the optimal time and effort to apply to multiple time requests.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with multiple departments and contacts.
  • This position requires the use of a company vehicle and/or personal vehicle for business travel. The selected candidate must successfully pass an MVR and be insurable under Aims insurance.
