Job Summary
The Department of Psychiatry is seeking a Clinical Research Interviewer to conduct independent clinical assessments for clinical / translational research projects examining neurocognitive processes in adults with trauma, PTSD, and substance use disorders. The position requires demonstrating professional competence using validated structured interview diagnostic instruments, and working with a collaborative, interdisciplinary research group under the direction of Dr. Liz Duval.

Responsibilities*
Required Qualifications*
Intermediate - 4-5 years of experience within clinical practice and relevant work experience in health care agency or hospital.
Underfill to Associate - 1-3 years of experience within clinical practice and relevant work experience in health care agency or hospital.
Desired Qualifications*
Advanced degree in social work, psychology, or related field. Experience with DSM5. Experience working with clinical populations who have trauma exposure and substance use. Experience conducting risk and safety assessments with psychiatric patients.
Work Schedule
40 hours a week with some flexibility to determine schedule between 8am and 7pm, Monday through Friday. Some evening and weekend hours may be required based on participant availability.
Work Locations
Rachel Upjohn Building, Ann Arbor. Hybrid or fully remote work options available.
Modes of Work

Additional Information
Supervisory hours can be provided for State of Michigan social work licensure.
Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third-party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
