Position Summary:
 
Health Sciences Program Coordinator (Counseling and Human Services)
 
Required Qualifications:
  • The position requires at least an associate degree or two-year College equivalent (at least 60 undergraduate semester hours) and
  • Three years of prior-related work experience.
 
Job Description:
  • Coordinates the office of Counseling and Human Services Program for students, faculty, advisors, internships, and clinical supervisors.
 
Supplemental Job Information:
  • Coordinates internship placements for Counseling and Human Services students. Helps to identify and develop new community internship opportunities.
  • Liaison among Counseling and Human Services program office, students, clinical supervisors, and faculty.
  • Assists Program Manager in the implementation of program marketing. This includes, but is not limited to, introduction of program prospective students via telephone, email, and personal interview.
  • Assists Program Manager with national re-accreditation process and with monitoring to ensure that program is consistent with accreditation guidelines.
  • Plans Adjunct Faculty and Advisory Committee meetings. Each meeting is held twice per year. Organizes and facilitates Practicum Orientation Meetings held once per semester.
  • Maintains good working rapport between the Counseling and Human Services program and community agencies providing practicum placements.
  • Maintains all program records, handbooks, and manuals.
  • Ongoing communication with college advisors and counselors regarding program requirements and curriculum changes.
  • Provides support, guidance and mentoring to Counseling and Human Services students. Assists and guides students with their academic performance and with their completion of the program.
  • Performs other similar and related duties as required.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree in Counseling and Human Services.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Excel, Canvas and Adobe Acrobat
 
Pay Rate: Annually
$42,515.35
